[attr="class","ajbdbs0"] [attr="class","ajbdbs"] [attr="class","ajbdsfl"]► AERON MICHAEL TOOLE [break] [attr="class","ajbdbst"]PERSONALITY [attr="class","ajbdbsb"] Hardworking[break] When something isn't going his way, he doesn't let that stop him. His marks in school are the biggest example of this, because even though he struggled, Aeron still pushed through to improve himself. He also dedicates a large portion of his time to his career as a professional chaser, memorizing and practicing plays whenever he has a chance.[break][break] Passionate[break] Once something gets into his heart, Aeron does not stop. Flying is his biggest passion, and it's obvious in the way he cares for his broom and Quidditch gear. But he's also passionate when it comes to taking care of those he cares about. He will go to the ends of the earth for his family, especially his little sister.[break][break] Competitive[break] Being competitive is sort of important as a professional Quidditch player, but for Aeron it doesn't stop there. He gets competitive over any kind of game or challenge if it peaks his interest. The only thing he's never been very competitive about is academics, because he recognizes that as a weakness of his.[break][break] Moody[break] As with most people, there are times that Aeron can't keep his mood upbeat. He can get incredibly grumpy at times, and he's also prone to holding grudges and isn't shy about resorting to pettiness if the situation suits. When he gets that way, there's usually no talking him out of it until he feels justified in his own mind.[break][break] Dedicated[break] Aeron's dedication applies to both his career and the people around him. He's dedicated to his job and strives to do the best that he can there, but he's also dedicated to his family and friends. If they're having difficulties, he will do whatever is in his power to help them out, even if it comes back to bite him later.[break][break] Modest[break] Having played Quidditch for quite some time, Aeron is used to hearing praise from other people, both teammates and fans alike, but he's never let it get to his head. When receiving compliments, he's just as quick to return them to the person giving them to him and is always appreciative of any compliments he gets. The only time he brags about anything is when he's extra proud of himself which is a rare occurrence.[break][break] [break] [attr="class","ajbdbst"]HISTORY [attr="class","ajbdbsb"] Born November 1994, Aeron was the first child of Sara and Bentley Toole. However, he didn't stay an only child for long as his sister, Kathleen, was born in December 1997. Unfortunately, that's where the normalcy of his life ended as his parents divorced each other August of the next year. Aeron doesn't quite understand why his father is never home anymore at first, but after a while things start to fall into place... especially when his mother starts dating again. [break][break] It's only a handful of months before his sixth birthday when Aeron is introduced to Ruth, his mom's new girlfriend. Immediately, Aeron rejects the idea on the simple basis that Ruth isn't his dad, and he desperately wants both parents together again. He begins acting out and overall trying to make Ruth miserable with them so she'll leave again. Sadly for him, that plan never comes to fruition when his mother, Sara, and Ruth decide to unofficially be married and Sara legally changes her last name to Carmody as a reflection of this. At this point, Aeron still hasn't come to terms with what's happening, and his misbehavior grows even greater.[break][break] This cycle carries on for a number of years, and Aeron starts spending as much time at his father's home as he can to avoid his mother and now stepmother. He continually finds himself asking why he can't just stay with Bentley permanently, but he never gets a conclusive answer. Thankfully, he gets a break from his home life starting September 2006 when he officially starts school at Hogwarts where he is sorted into Slytherin, the same house as his mother when she was in school. [break][break] School isn't something that comes easily to Aeron, and he finds himself struggling in most of his class, most of all Potions. There's just something that isn't clicking with him about the subject, and he constantly asks himself why he just doesn't get it. His essays come back with marks all over them, usually just above or below passing. Sometimes the spells he's trying don't work out even with hours and hours of practice. It isn't long before Aeron finds himself wondering if he's just that dumb. [break][break] Since academics clearly aren't his forte, Aeron turns to the one thing he's found that he is somewhat good at, flying and Quidditch. Once he hits second year, Aeron trys out for the team and is initially given on of the reserve spots. However, in his fourth year, after the graduation of a teammate, Aeron is moved up to chaser. That is where he really starts to grow as a person, quickly honing his skills on the field and finding something that he's absolutely passionate about. Around this time he also enters the dating scene and lands himself his first girlfriend. [break][break] The two of them work decently well together and the relationship survives for a solid four months before Aeron makes the mistake of cheating on her, but it wasn't with another girl. This time Aeron finds himself with another boy, and it's not as weird as he always thought it would be. However, none of this comes to light for another few months. In that time, Aeron does his best to keep his girlfriend happy without telling her about what happened and avoiding her when he can. It's just before the end of the school year when a gossip column in the student run newspaper calls him out for what he did and the two finally break up. This is also the beginning of a summer-long silent treatment from his little sister, now a third year Gryffindor student. It is also the summer that he gets two badges in his Hogwarts letter: a Prefect badge and a Quidditch captain badge. Both come as a huge shock to Aeron, who doesn't think he deserves them at all, but he vows to do his best to earn them. [break][break] Unfortunately for Aeron, fifth year also means OWLs. Still struggling academically, he lets himself get overwhelmed by the idea of the exams at the end of the year and starts performing even more poorly in his lessons. Thankfully, though, he has professors that go the extra mile to help him prepare. The most prominent of these is his Potions professor who also happens to the his Head of House, who takes him in for private lessons and helps Aeron discover that he's at least somewhat dyslexic, something he'd never heard of before. It is at that point, with the help of those around him, that Aeron finally starts to understand his schoolwork and begins to raise his grades just a little. [break][break] Though stressful, his OWLs go well enough for him to get into several NEWT classes, though initially Potions isn't one of them. However, after a summer of correspondence with his professor, Aeron is allowed into the class with the promise that he'll work extra diligently to bridge the gap between himself and his peers in the class. He's successful in his endeavors and is allowed to remain in the class he fought so hard for. [break][break] In the summer before his seventh year, Aeron gets his next badge with his letter. This time he's been made Head Boy, which comes as even more of a shock than Prefect ever did. It's a lot of added pressure alongside his NEWT classes, but Aeron manages with the new skills he worked on over the summer to make academics easier for himself, and he graduates with the rest of his peers the next summer. [break][break] Having found his passion for Quidditch young, Aeron doesn't take much time deciding that he wants to play professionally. As soon as he's out of school for good, he goes to the tryouts for the Caerphilly Catapults and makes one of their chaser positions. It's all he could have ever asked for and sometimes he still can't believe that it's real. Within a year of joining the team, he's moved out of his mother's house and into his own apartment in Wales. With practice and games taking up so much of his time, Aeron feels like he doesn't have much of a life, but he's determined to find the proper balance and get everything on track towards the life he's dreaming of.
